The PC Plus program (the "Program") is a smart rewards program that adapts to you over time, giving you the opportunity to receive personalized offers, dinner suggestions, a meal planner and even an intuitive shopping list manager.
To find out if the store location operating under a Loblaws banner that you shop at participates in the Program (each being a "Participating Store"), please access our store locator tool online at pcplus.ca. Simply shop, earn PC® points by purchasing items with a PC Plus flag or featured in a personalized weekly offer at a Participating Store and redeem the PC points for just about anything - groceries, gift cards, cosmetics or even small kitchen appliances at a Participating Store. You can also use a President's Choice Financial® ("PC Financial") payment card to earn and redeem at additional locations - please see section 5 "Earning and Redeeming with a PC Financial Card" for more details.
Membership is free and you do not need to buy anything to join. To participate, you must be a Canadian resident, 14 years of age or older. There is a limit of one account per individual for personal use only - the Program is not open to corporations, organizations or other entities. You will also need a PC Plus device to participate, such as a key tag, a plastic card available at Participating Stores, a mobile card available by downloading the mobile app or a PC Financial payment card that you can use to earn or redeem PC points (each a "Card"). You must register your Card online to create a PC Plus account ("Account"), to be eligible to receive personalized offers and to take advantage of certain features, such as the "Shopping List" or "Meal Plan".
We may at times change the process to participate in the Program or to open an Account.
There are three (3) ways to earn PC points:
If you have registered your Card online at pcplus.ca, you may receive personalized PC points offers - simply sign in online or via the mobile app and:
1. load your offers online (website or mobile),
2. shop at a Participating Store for the items featured in the offers that appeal to you OR complete a transaction described in an offer (for example, purchase more than a certain value of qualifying items on a specific date to earn a specific number of PC points),
3. present your Card at point-of-sale before you pay for your purchases.
NOTE - If you do not load your personalized offers before you shop, or do not present your Card before paying for your purchases, you will not receive any PC points for the personalized offers (other than those earned when you use a PC Financial payment card to pay for qualifying purchases or to complete a qualifying transaction). PC points will not be granted retroactively. An Account number or reproduction of an Account number or Card will not be accepted. For more information as to how offers are personalized, please see "Privacy" in section 8.
If you have registered your Card online at pcplus.ca, you may also take advantage of promotions offered to all PC Plus members including but not limited to those advertised in-store or through flyers.
You can earn PC points with a PC Financial payment card, please see "Earning and Redeeming with a PC Financial payment card" in section 5 below.
PC points, offers, promotions, and other services and programs are offered by us, or others acting with our permission, and may be offered to all Program participants or any group of the Program participants, as decided by us. Any offer or promotion is time limited, and may contain additional terms and conditions, which will apply in addition to these terms and conditions. Each offer is only valid once, unless expressly stated otherwise in the terms of the offer. We may limit quantities of merchandise on which a single Account holder or Account may earn PC points. For example, we may make an offer of additional PC points on the purchase of a particular product, and state that an Account holder may only earn those PC points for a single purchase of that product, or for a purchase of any other number we specify. If you try to earn PC points in a manner not permitted in these terms and conditions, we may deem those PC points to be invalid and cancel them, which will result in the removal of those PC points from your Account.
To "redeem" means using your PC points to pay, or partially pay, for qualifying purchases, by presenting your Card at the point of sale in a Participating Store and following instructions provided by the cashier, the point-of-sale terminal or other payment device. You must register your Account online before your first redemption in order to be able to redeem PC points other than those earned when you use a PC Financial payment card to pay for purchases or to complete a transaction. You can redeem the PC points you earn for in-store qualifying purchases (see section 6 below for exclusions), or by any other means we may advise you of from time to time.
When redeeming PC points for groceries or other in-store merchandise, you must redeem a minimum of 20,000 PC points, which are worth $20 in free rewards. If you want to redeem more than 20,000 PC points at one time, you must redeem the additional PC points in increments of 10,000 PC points, each increment being worth $10 in free rewards. For example, if you want to use your PC points to pay for $37 of groceries (including the applicable taxes), you can redeem 30,000 PC points, then pay the remaining $7 in cash or with a debit or credit card or other acceptable payment method. You cannot redeem 37,000 PC points, as PC points are only redeemable in 10,000 PC point increments (above the minimum 20,000 PC point redemption). We may change the minimum redemption amount or redemption increments at any time. On occasion, we, or others acting with our permission, may offer you special redemption promotions in certain stores, or for particular products or services, such as an increase in the value of PC points or a lower minimum amount for redemption. These terms and conditions, and any additional terms and conditions that accompany any such offer, would apply to those promotions.
PC points you earn while making a purchase can only be redeemed for a subsequent transaction. Only one redemption will be processed per transaction. You cannot redeem more PC points than the dollar value of your purchase. No cash back will be provided on PC points redemptions. The PC points you redeem are deducted from your Account, in the order that they were earned. Any remaining PC points in your Account can be redeemed later.
At certain points-of-sale, or when using certain methods of payment, there may be a limit as to the number of PC points that can be redeemed per transaction. Please note that transactions completed at certain points-of-sale may be subject to further terms and conditions, which will be communicated to you upon use of such point-of-sale.
PC points do not expire. However, if your Account is not active for a period of 2 years, your Account will be closed and the PC points balance in your Account will be cancelled. To maintain an active status, you must earn or redeem PC points at least once every 2 years or have a PC Financial payment card that is registered on the Account and is linked to a PC Financial product that is open.
Earning PC points for using your PC Financial Payment card as a payment vehicle. When you use a PC Financial payment card (including, without limitation, a PC Financial debit card, credit card, personalized prepaid card, or any other device or technology used to access a PC Financial payment account) to pay for qualifying purchases or to complete a qualifying transaction, you will earn PC points for using your PC Financial payment card at the earning rates set out in the information you received with the PC Financial payment card you hold, and which can be found at www.pcfinancial.ca under the "Legal Stuff" section. Qualifying purchases, transactions, and earning rates with a PC Financial payment card may change from time to time, subject to any required notice from the issuer of your PC Financial payment card.
Linking your PC Financial Payment Card to the personalized Program. In addition, if you registered your PC Financial payment card for the Program online, you may also earn PC points through personalized offers as described above in section 3 "Earning PC points". Simply load your offers and present your registered PC Financial payment card at the point-of-sale or other payment device at a Participating Store before paying for your purchases in order to earn PC points through personalized offers. Then, if you choose to use your PC Financial payment card to pay for the purchases, present your PC Financial payment card again to pay and earn PC points for using your PC Financial payment card for your qualifying purchase or transaction.
Refer to www.pcfinancial.ca under the "Legal Stuff" section or call 1-855-6PCPLUS(6727587) for the rounding rules related to PC points calculations using your PC Financial payment card.
Your ability to earn or redeem PC points with a PC Financial card may be limited if you are not in full compliance with the terms and conditions applicable to your PC Financial product that were issued to you by the provider of your PC Financial payment card. For instance, if your access to credit has been revoked due to non-payment of the minimum amount due on your PC Financial credit card by the due date, or if your PC Financial debit card has become dormant due to inactivity, you will not be able to earn or redeem PC points with your PC Financial payment card.
If you only use a PC Financial payment card to participate in the Program, and you close all of your PC Financial payment card accounts, you will lose access to the Program unless you have another Card registered to your Account. If your PC Financial payment card accounts are in good standing when they are closed (for example, there are no amounts owing to the provider of those products), then you will have 45 days, from the date that your last PC Financial payment card account that earns PC points is closed, to:
· redeem your accumulated PC points, OR
· download the PC Plus app to your smart phone and join using your PC Financial payment card information, OR
· register your PC Financial payment card online at pcplus.ca to create an online Account and then add a new Card or key tag to the Account to continue to participate in the Program.
If you have not downloaded and registered the PC Plus app, or registered your Account online at pcplus.ca and added a new Card to the Account by the end of the 45 day period, you will no longer be able to access your Account and any remaining PC points balance in your Account will be cancelled (even if you were not eligible to redeem PC points during such period).
PC points cannot be earned or redeemed for any of the following: (i) the purchase of tobacco, lottery tickets, or alcohol, (ii) deposits (e.g. water bottle deposit as it is not a purchase), (iii) the purchase of milk in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Quebec, (iv) cash back, (v) purchases made through non-participating licensed merchants located within or adjacent to Participating Stores (note purchases made with a qualifying PC Financial payment card at these merchants continue to earn PC points for use of the card), (vi) any other products or services that may not legally be offered in connection with programs such as PC Plus (see paragraph below for more information about pharmacy related transactions), or (vii) any other products or services that we may specify from time to time. PC points are not earned on the portion of a transaction that is being paid for by redeeming PC points. The laws applicable to the earning and redeeming of PC points on prescription, medication and other pharmacy or health care related products and services vary in each province. Other limitations may be imposed by prescription plans. Please see your pharmacy at a Participating Store to learn whether PC points can be earned or redeemed on these types of products and services and whether any limitations apply.
In any one transaction, PC points may only be earned on a single Card, and may only be credited to a single Account. While you may not earn the same PC points multiple times in one transaction, some transactions may allow you to earn PC points in multiple ways. For example, when you use your PC Financial payment card as a method of tender to purchase items for which you had received a personalized PC Plus offer and loaded the offer, you will receive the PC points featured in the PC Plus offer as well as PC points for using your PC Financial payment card.
If you return a purchase, your Account balance may be reduced by the number of PC points earned for that purchase, including any Bonus Points. If a refund or correction is applied to your Account, your Account balance will be adjusted up or down by the number of PC points related to the refund or correction as applicable and your Account balance may become negative. If you use a PC Financial payment card to pay for a purchase and subsequently return the purchase using a different card on the same account, the number of PC points deducted will be calculated based on the earning rate of the PC Financial payment card used to make the return transaction, which may be different from the earning rate of the PC Financial payment card used to make the initial purchase.
If there is a dispute about the number of PC points earned, redeemed or deducted, our records will be considered accurate unless you contact us within 45 days from the relevant transaction date to report a concern regarding your Account balance. If we do not hear from you by then, it means you agree with us about those PC points
The number of PC points displayed on your receipt at a Participating Store may not reflect your current PC points balance.
We accept no liability for any errors in the PC points balance displayed on the receipt or in your Account. If any PC points are awarded to your Account in error, we reserve the right to deduct the number of PC points awarded in error at any time, and without notice to you. We are not obligated to honour a request to redeem PC points added to an Account in error.
We are not responsible for any errors that may occur in the sending or loading of offers or if there is a delay in sending or receiving offers.
If your Card is lost or stolen, sign in online to turn off redemption capabilities for that Card. You are responsible for all redemptions on your Account, including any redemption made on your Account before you turn off redemption capabilities on a Card that was lost or stolen, and redemptions made on your Account as a result of unauthorized access to your Account such as due to failure to safeguard your password.
You cannot sell, purchase, assign or otherwise transfer all or a portion of your PC points to anyone else under any circumstance (including death or divorce), unless specifically authorized by us at our sole discretion. If you do, those PC points will be cancelled and will be removed from your Account balance
PC points have no cash value. You cannot exchange PC points for cash.
Should you choose to close your Account, you will have 45 days to redeem any PC points accumulated in your Account. Any PC points not redeemed after 45 days from the closure of your Account will be cancelled and removed from your Account. Closing your Account may also require closure of the PC Financial products associated with the Account.
You may donate your PC points to the President's Choice® Children's Charity. Contact us for details.
The list of Participating Stores or Loblaw Banner Stores may change from time to time. Please see your local store for more details.
Personalized offers : If you register online to participate in the Program, you may receive electronic communications that include personalized offers determined through a combination of personal information collected by President's Choice Services Inc., the provider of the Program, and other information that help to establish your interests and tastes, including your purchase history, which may include purchases that you made prior to registering for the Program. You may withdraw your consent to the use of your historical purchase data for the purpose of establishing your interests and tastes by calling 1-855-416-1244.
Be advised that details regarding the purchases or transactions made by you or any additional users on the Account may be included in any PC points or PC Financial statements you receive, and may be shared with additional users of the Account. Further you agree and acknowledge that you are responsible for communicating this to any additional users on your Account.
If you reside outside of Quebec:
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or otherwise change any aspect of the Program. We may modify all or one or more part(s) of these terms and conditions at any time, including:
The eligibility conditions for participating in the Program,
The manner in which an eligible participant participates in the Program,
The manner and rate at which PC points are earned, and
The manner and rate at which PC points are redeemed.
In the event these terms and conditions, or any aspect of the Program is restricted, suspended or changed, we will provide you advance notice by posting the amended terms and conditions online at pcplus.ca, and by sending you notice using your email and/or mailing address. Your continued participation in the Program following such notice will constitute your express consent to any amendments to these terms and conditions, or any other aspect of the Program. Should you not agree to such an amendment, you may cancel your participation in the Program without cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws applicable in Ontario.
If you reside in Quebec:
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or otherwise change the Program. We may modify, in whole or in part, the following elements of these terms and conditions:
The eligibility conditions for participating in the Program,
The manner in which an eligible participant participates in the Program,
The manner and rate at which PC points are earned,
The manner and rate at which PC points are redeemed
In the event these terms and conditions, or any aspect of the Program is restricted, suspended or changed, we will provide you notice at least 30 days before the amendment comes into effect, by posting the amended terms and conditions online at pcplus.ca, and by sending you written notice using your email and/or mailing address, and setting out the new clause, or the amended clause and how it read formerly, and the date on which the change will come into effect. If the amendment entails an increase in your obligations or a reduction in our obligations, you may refuse the amendment and rescind, or cancel your participation in the Program without cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity, by sending us notice to that effect no later than 30 days after the amendment comes into force, at the address or email address indicated in the notice. You will then have 45 days to redeem any PC points in your Account. Any PC points that are not redeemed after 45 days will be cancelled.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws applicable in that province, in respect of residents of Quebec.
The Program is offered by President's Choice Services Inc., which is also referred to as "our", "we" and "us".
By participating in any aspect of the Program, you (and your parent or legal guardian on your behalf, if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and you should check pcplus.ca regularly for any updates.
These terms and conditions and any other Program information on pcplus.ca, replace all previous versions of the terms and conditions of the Program (previously known as the "PC points" program).
We reserve the right to update, change or otherwise alter these terms and conditions, or any other Program information from time to time, in our sole discretion, without notice, or consent.
Unauthorized reproduction of any Card is prohibited and can result in legal prosecution. All Cards belong to us and may be revoked at any time at our sole discretion.
You may add users to your Account as described in "How Can I Participate" in section 2, but you may not share your Card with anyone else and cannot give access to your Account other than to an additional user you have added to the Account.
You are responsible for protecting and keeping secure your Account and Cards on your Account and any password or security questions used in connection with any of these.
We reserve the right to terminate the Program, or any part of it, at any time on 45 days prior written notice (to be provided at Participating Stores, pcplus.ca website, and/or through other communications to Account holders including via e-mail). We reserve the right, at our sole and absolute discretion, to extend the Program beyond a stated termination date. If the Program is ever terminated, you will have 45 days after the effective termination date to redeem
any PC points in your Account. After the expiry of the 45-day period, any PC Point that has not been redeemed will be cancelled.
If any of the information you were required to submit when you registered for the Program changes (such as your name, mailing address, email address, or phone number) you must let us know immediately and give us your current information. We are not responsible if we cannot contact you because you have not given us current, accurate information.
We reserve the right to refuse to allow you or any person you seek to add to your Account to join the Program for any reason in our sole and absolute discretion, including for not meeting the eligibility requirements or for having a membership cancelled previously.
We may, at any time, suspend or cancel your participation in the Program, if, in our view, you have abused any Program privilege, failed to follow these terms and conditions, or made any misrepresentation to us or to any entity associated with or participating in the Program. In the event that your participation in the Program is cancelled, all accumulated PC points in your Account will also be cancelled and removed from your Account balance.
By participating in the Program, you (and your parent or legal guardian on your behalf, if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) agree to release and discharge us, our subsidiaries, Loblaws, and each of Loblaws other subsidiaries and its parent company, and any other third party that may from time to time participate in the Program (whether as a participant or in an administrative, operational or other capacity), and our, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, from any loss, liability, claim, demand, damage or expense asserted by any entity relating in any way to the Program, your participation in the Program and/or the redemption and use/misuse of any item obtained through the redemption of PC points or otherwise in connection with the Program;
We reserve the right to withdraw, amend or suspend the Program (or to amend these terms and conditions) in any way, in the event of an error, omission, technical problem, computer viruses or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond our reasonable control that interferes with the proper conduct of any aspect of the Program as set out in these terms and conditions. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Program in any way (as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion) is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, we reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Our failure to exercise any of our rights, powers or remedies in these terms and conditions or any delay in doing so does not constitute a waiver of those rights, powers or remedies. The single or partial exercise of a right, power or remedy does not prevent its subsequent exercise or the exercise of any right, power or remedy.
If we are unable to address any concern that you have regarding the Program to your satisfaction, after having escalated the issue to a manager through our call-centre, arbitration may be an option recommended to settle the dispute. Arbitration is a form of dispute resolution. If the parties decide to pursue arbitration, then the parties would refer the dispute to an arbitrator who would take into account the evidence of each of the parties and render a decision.
